Privacy Policy

The limited liability company "IMEI", registration number: 40203558381, legal address: Rīgas iela 14-6, Ikškile, Ogres county, LV-5042 (hereinafter IMEI) has undertaken the responsibility to protect the privacy of customers.
In accordance with this, we have prepared the principles of the Privacy Policy, which apply to the acquisition, use, publication, transfer and storage of personal data of customers.
Our activity on the web takes place in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia, as well as relevant legal acts of the European Union. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the principles of our Privacy Policy.

Legal basis for personal data processing

IMEI processes the Customer's personal data based on the following legal bases:

for the conclusion and execution of the contract - to conclude the contract at the Customer's request and ensure its execution,

for the execution of regulatory enactments - in order to fulfill an obligation determined in binding external regulatory enactments,

in accordance with the consent of the Customer - the data subject,

in legal interests - to realize the obligations existing between IMEI and the Customer or the legal interests of IMEI resulting from the concluded contract or the law.

IMEI's legitimate interests are:

carry out commercial activities,

check the identity of the Client before concluding the contract,

ensure the fulfillment of contractual obligations,

to save the Customer's orders for goods and services, as well as notes about them (for example, oral or written),

analyze the performance of the IMEI website,

administer IMEI Customer account,

promote your goods and services by sending commercial communications,

send reports on the progress of application and purchase contract execution,

prevent fraud,

administer purchases, payments and orders,

to inform the public about their activities.

Purposes of personal data processing

IMEI processes personal data for the following purposes:

for customer identification,

for the preparation and conclusion of the contract,

for the delivery of goods and the installation and provision of services (fulfilment of contractual obligations),

for advertising and distribution of goods or for commercial purposes,

for customer service,

for consideration and processing of objections,

for settlement administration,

for improving the functioning of the website.

Processing of personal data

IMEI processes Customer data using modern technology capabilities, taking into account existing privacy risks and available organizational, financial and technical resources.

In order to ensure the high-quality and prompt fulfillment of the obligations of the contract concluded with the Customer, IMEI may authorize its cooperation partners to carry out certain activities of goods delivery or service provision, for example, delivery of goods, sending of commercial messages and the like. In performing these tasks, IMEI's cooperation partners process the Customer's personal data and are considered IMEI data processing operators (processors), and IMEI has the right to transfer the Customer's personal data necessary for the performance of these activities to the cooperation partners to the extent necessary for the performance of these activities.

IMEI's cooperation partners (in the capacity of personal data processor) will ensure the fulfillment of personal data processing and protection requirements in accordance with the concluded Data Processing Agreement and legislation, and will not use personal data for purposes other than the fulfillment of the obligations of the contract concluded with the Customer in IMEI's role.

IMEI does not disclose the Customer's personal data to third parties except in the following cases:

 if data must be transferred to the relevant third party within the framework of the concluded contract (e.g. delivery of goods)

if the Customer has given clear and unambiguous consent,

 to the persons provided for in external regulatory enactments upon their justified request, in the manner and to the extent specified in external regulatory enactments,

in cases specified in other regulatory acts for the protection of IMEI's legal interests.

Personal data is stored for as long as:

while the contract concluded with the Customer is valid,

as long as IMEI or the Customer can realize their legitimate interests in accordance with the procedures set out in external regulatory acts,

as long as there is a legal obligation to store the data,

while the Customer's consent to the relevant personal data processing is valid, if there is no other legal basis for data processing.

Access to personal data and other Customer rights

The customer has the right to receive the information stipulated in the regulatory acts in connection with the processing of his data. Most of the Customer's information has already been posted on www.imeitech.lv, in the "My Profile" section, where the Customer can verify the correctness of his data, correct them and withdraw his consent to receiving commercial messages.

The customer has the right to request the termination of the processing of his personal data, to request information about the purposes for which his personal data are used, as well as to request the transfer of his personal data in the widely used format to himself or to third parties. In order to avoid misuse of the customer's data and rights, the application can only be submitted in a form that allows identifying the identity of the person submitting the application (the application must be digitally signed or submitted personally by IMEI). We have the right to respond to such applications within 30 days.
The request to terminate data processing is considered as an application to terminate the permanent customer contract.

The customer's consent to data processing and the right to withdraw it

The customer can give consent to the processing of personal data, the legal basis of which is consent (for example, receiving commercial notifications, etc.), on the www.imeitech.lv website, in the "My profile" section.

The customer has the right to withdraw the consent given to data processing at any time in the same way as it was given, that is, on the www.imeitech.lv website, in the "My profile" section, by writing to atbalsts@imeitech.lv. In case of withdrawal of consent, further data processing based on the previously given consent for the specific purpose will not be carried out in the future.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect data processing carried out at the time when the Client's consent was valid.

Withdrawal of consent cannot stop data processing carried out on the basis of other legal bases.

Communication with the Client and commercial announcements

IMEI communicates with the Customer using the contact information provided by the Customer (phone number, e-mail address).

IMEI communicates about the fulfillment of service contractual obligations on the basis of the concluded contract (for example, coordinating the delivery times of goods, information about purchases and invoices, about the status of the leasing application, etc.).

Communication about commercial messages is carried out by IMEI in accordance with regulatory enactments or in accordance with the consent of the Client.

The consent given by the customer to receive commercial notifications is valid until it is withdrawn (also after the termination of the service contract). The customer can opt out of receiving further commercial communications at any time.

IMEI, based on the regulation of the Information Society Services Law, has the right to send commercial notifications to its customers by e-mail about similar goods and services, without requiring the Customer's consent, but providing the opportunity for the Customer to opt out of receiving such notifications.

The customer can give consent to the processing of personal data (for example, receiving commercial notifications, etc.) on the www.imeitech.lv website, in the "My profile" section.

The consent given by the customer to receive commercial notifications is valid until it is withdrawn (also after the termination of the service contract).

The customer can at any time refuse to receive further commercial communications in one of the following ways:

by sending an e-mail to the address atbalsts@imeitech.lv ,
using the automated option provided in the commercial notice to opt out of receiving further notices by clicking on the opt-out link at the end of the relevant commercial notice (e-mail),
home page under "My Profile".

IMEI stops sending commercial notifications as soon as the Customer's request is processed, which can be up to three days.

Website visits and cookie processing

The IMEI website uses cookies. The rules for processing cookies are available in the section "Cookie Policy".

IMEI's website may contain links to third-party websites that have their own terms of use and personal data protection, for which IMEI is not responsible.

Other rules

We assume that before using our website or completing the request to become a regular customer, you have read and accepted the principles and rules of our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to amend the main terms of the Privacy Policy by informing all regular customers. However, we do our best to ensure that the Privacy Policy is always updated and available to you on our website.

To solve all questions and problems related to the Privacy Policy or data processing, as well as in cases where the customer wants to refuse to receive commercial notifications or completely delete his data from his profile, please contact us using the electronic mail address; atbalsts@imeitech.lv . 

You have the right to contact the Data Protection Inspectorate or the court at any time for the protection of your data. The Data Protection Inspectorate is a state institution that you can turn to when you need advice or help related to personal data protection.
